Hello, my name is Dalton!

I always knew I wanted to be a designer,
but I took a roundabout way.
I am a CMF and Graphic Designer based out of Massachusetts,
where I was born and raised.

When I was a child I dreamt of becoming a chef, an artist, or a basketball player. I still love food and basketball, however, art/design was calling me. In high school I got my first job working retail, selling sneakers. After graduating from a high school that didn't have an art program, I decided to go to Middlesex Community College (MCC) for Business Administration and I later received an Associate's in 2018. In 2016, I earned a promotion at work and became a retail store manager. After a few years at store manager, I realized something was still missing. Don't get me wrong I loved my job, but I still felt that I had untapped potential. I knew I always had a passion for art and design, but never thought I could pursue it and maintain a living — until I learned more about it. I took a leap of faith and demoted myself at work to pursue a  design career. I applied to University of Massachusetts, Lowell (UML) in 2019 and graduated in 2022. I was eager to learn more and applied to Pensole for a CMF Design course in 2023. Because of it, I was hired by General Motors in Michigan. I completed a second course at Pensole in 2024 for Apparel Graphic Design with the mentorship of PepsiCo designers.
I am passionate about all things design. Music, packaging, posters, UI/UX, footwear/sportswear, automotive, interior design, and motion graphics are just a few things that I find inspiring. I have spent years in the footwear industry and have amassed a collection of sneakers. They are a key component in my decision to shift to a design career.
